HOW TO GUIDE - VCE Cloud Converter
This guide will show which steps need to be taken in order to create a configurator by using the cloud converter.
It conceptually contains of 3 steps

Download the Product Matrix (XLSX file) for the CWGBIKE
here
Open the file and rename the CWGBIKE to CWGBIKE##
Check in MM03 which CWGBIKE exist and replace the ## with the next number, e.g. 07.
Same ## number must be updated in the MTX_ID in the grey box. e.g. pmxCWGBIKE07.
In order not to compromize the naming convention, the name-format must not be changed. Max length is 10 characters.

Now download the Macrofile here | Macrofile [usa] here
The macro is needed in order to export the tabs with the configurator rules. The Macro will save the files to the folder C:\TEMP\MTX_IN. (you may need to create the folder before).
Start the Macro by loading the file PMX_MACRO.xls. Enable macros when prompted.

Now switch back to the pmxCWGBIKE07 excel-file. Find and push the macro button.

The first option will export all TABs to the C:\TEMP\MTX_IN folder.

When data are saved succssfully you will see this message:

Now data are prepared for the upload to SAP.

Logon to the CWG Sandbox and enter Transaction ZVCE_MTXFILE

Now upload the ZIP file we just created.

EXECUTE the transaction.

The SAP system will now communicate with the Cloud Converter API.

When done, the system will show a log.

Now step 2 is completed and the database in the converter is updated.

In order to generate the configurator coding, enter SAP transaction ZVCE_API

Enter the following data in the screen:
  • P_REQ | GenerateConstraintSAP
  • P_NAME | MTX.ID
  • P_VALUE | pmxCWGBIKE07 Notice: here you need to enter the correct ID you created.

Now press EXECUTE

The files for the next steps have been stored as shown in the log.

If the call to the web service was not successful, you may see:

In order to download Table content use the following P_REQ | DownloadVCTableDataSAP in the ZVCE_API transaction.

The log will show if the tables are successfully stored on the local PC.

Tableupload

The Table upload is done via LSMW or CU60E on the CWG Sandbox. Using LSMW may require experience with LSMW and you may need additional authorizations.

>>The instruction will be updated soon.<<

Please note that you still can run the configurator. The "product rules" will however be missing, since they are in the tables.
